Google Pixel 10 and 11: Leaked Camera Features and Hardware Upgrades
The upcoming Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 series are set to bring exciting camera improvements, leveraging the power of AI to enhance the user experience. From massive zoom capabilities to advanced video editing tools, let’s dive into the leaked features that have everyone talking.
1. Next-Gen Telephoto Camera with 100x Zoom
Starting with the Pixel 11 Pro, which is expected to launch in 2026, Google is reportedly incorporating a next-generation telephoto camera. This new hardware, coupled with AI enhancements, will enable an impressive 100x zoom for both photos and videos. Such a high level of zoom opens up new creative possibilities for mobile photographers and videographers.
2. Improved Cinematic Blur and Video Relight
Cinematic Blur, a popular feature among Pixel users, is getting an upgrade on the Pixel 11 Pro. It will now support 4K resolution at 30fps, and a new “video relight” option will allow users to adjust lighting conditions within their videos. This is powered by the Cinematic Rendering Engine in the Tensor G6’s image signal processor, which also reduces power consumption during recording by almost 40%.
3. Ultra Low Light Video and Night Sight
Google is also bringing Ultra Low Light video to the Pixel 11, also known as Night Sight video. While the current implementation relies on cloud processing, the Pixel 11 will be able to process Night Sight videos entirely on the device. This means you’ll be able to capture bright and clear videos even in extremely low-light conditions, with ambient light levels as low as 5 to 10 lux.
4. Tensor G5 SoC and AI-Based Video Editing
The Pixel 10 series, launching in 2025, will be powered by the Tensor G5 SoC, bringing significant improvements to AI-based video editing. This includes “Post-capture Generative AI-based Intuitive Video Editing” for the Photos app, allowing users to make advanced edits with ease. This feature may also be available for YouTube Shorts, opening up new creative avenues for content creators.
Additionally, the Tensor G5 will introduce new AI features like Speak-to-Tweak for photo editing and Sketch-to-Image, similar to what’s already offered by Samsung’s Galaxy AI. Google is also working on a mysterious “Magic Mirror” feature, along with support for running Stable Diffusion-based models locally, which could be integrated into the Pixel Studio app.
As for video recording, the Tensor G5 will finally bring support for 4K resolution at 60fps with HDR, a step up from the Tensor G4’s 30fps limit.
