The Samsung W25 Series: A Step Up from the Z-Series
Samsung is gearing up to launch its latest foldables in the Chinese market with the upcoming W25 series. While the W-series devices are typically based on the Z-series foldables, the Samsung W25 takes it a step further. This year’s model is based on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which is currently exclusive to South Korea. The W25 will offer larger cover and internal displays, measuring 6.5 inches and 8.0 inches, respectively, compared to the regular Z Fold6’s 6.3-inch and 7.6-inch screens.
But that’s not all. The W25 also boasts a 200MP main camera, replacing the 50MP unit found on the Z Fold6. And when it comes to design, Samsung has pulled out all the stops. The W25 features a sleek black color with golden highlights along the metal sides and camera bump, a signature style of the W-series. The sides also feature a unique pattern, adding a touch of sophistication to the device.
The Samsung W25 Flip: A Clamshell Companion
In addition to the W25, Samsung is also preparing the W25 Flip, a clamshell foldable based on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6. While there isn’t a Special Edition of the Z Flip6, the W25 Flip is sure to turn heads with its stylish design and compact form factor. Both the W25 and W25 Flip will come in stunning retail packages, including a charger and a case, offering a more luxurious unboxing experience compared to their Z-series counterparts.
For those who prefer the regular Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, Samsung China also offers those models. However, the W-series devices provide some compelling advantages, including extra RAM and more attractive designs. The W24, based on last year’s Z Fold5, currently starts at CNY 13,000 for the 16GB/1TB model, while the Z Fold6 is priced at CNY 14,000 for the 12GB/512GB option and CNY 16,000 for the 12GB/1TB version. With the W25 series, Samsung is once again raising the bar for foldables, offering enhanced features and a premium experience.
