Introduction

The vivo X200 Pro has arrived at our office, and we’re excited to give you our full review. At the launch event, we got a glimpse of this camera phone’s potential, and now it’s time to put it through its paces.

Unboxing

When you unbox the X200 Pro, you’ll find a phone-matching blue case, a powerful 90W charger, and a USB-A to USB-C cable. The attention to detail in the unboxing experience sets the tone for this premium device.

Design and Display

The X200 Pro features a less-curved front and back glass compared to its predecessor, the X100 Ultra, with a wider frame to compensate. Whether you prefer the curved or flatter design is a matter of personal taste, but we can assure you that both phones feel great in the hand. Interestingly, despite having the same 6.78-inch screen diagonal, the X200 Pro is a little shorter than the X100 Ultra.

When it comes to the display, vivo has equipped the X200 Pro with a stunning panel that delivers rich colors and deep blacks. The viewing angles are impressive, ensuring that you can enjoy an uninterrupted visual experience from any perspective.

Camera

The camera system on the X200 Pro shares similarities with the X100 Ultra, but there are some notable differences. The standout feature is the 200MP 1/1.4-inch 85mm f/2.67 telephoto camera, which is also rumored to be included in the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra. However, the X200 Pro sports a smaller 50MP 1/1.28-inch sensor for its main camera, compared to the 1-inch type main camera on the X100 Ultra.

Despite the smaller sensor, vivo assures us that the new main camera on the X200 Pro is just as capable in most scenarios and even outperforms its predecessor in portrait video thanks to its faster readout speed. To help you make your own judgment, we’ve included a range of camera samples from both phones, including main camera shots, zoom shots, and low-light images.

Conclusion

The vivo X200 Pro builds on the success of its predecessor, offering a refined design, an impressive display, and a versatile camera system. While there are some differences in the camera sensors, the X200 Pro holds its own and even offers improvements in certain areas.
